Published load data
Muzzle velocities are the manufacturer’s published figures, measured in their test barrel. Your rifle will differ — a shorter barrel typically loses roughly 5–15 m/s per centimetre. Chronograph your own load before trusting a long-range solution.
What it is
Remington launched the 7mm Remington Magnum in 1962 alongside its Model 700 rifle. The idea is the same as the .300 WM but with 7 mm bullets: high sectional density and BC at more reasonable recoil. In open country it is one of the best compromises between a flat trajectory and carried energy.
Use in Finland
